Very honored authors, very honored prospective customers,
we thank for your interest in a publication in one of our professional books. We are glad always about interesting pictures and professional contributions which should give an understanding of the international world of the fire brigades and the rescue service to our readers.

To make easier to you and us the plannings and preparations for a publication a little, receive below some tips and guidelines with the request to include this in your work with.
Basically expect from every contribution presented to us

  • the greatest possible content and technical quality, linked with excellent photo material.

Our book contributions live - beside the technical contents - insbesonders on the optical creation by pictures whose motives should be interesting in this subject expressive, living and in every respect,


Offers for Publication

You to the editorial staff (address see below) sent text contribution and picture contribution to the publication is at first not-binding for us.
The editorial staff decides in the opinion of and check of the presented material whether the picture and/or the contribution is suited concerning the expected criteria - in particular concerning the technical topic - for a publication in one of our books.

  • If we decide on the publication of your presented text material and picture, receive as soon as possible our relevant written confirmation.
  • Otherwise we send back you the text material überlassene to us and picture for our discharge.


With acceptance of the contribution you receive from us a baldmögliche answer from which you can take details to the remuneration as well as for the use of your contribution. Please, note that not all contributions and/or pictures can be paid (further inquiry necessary) - nevertheless, in these cases we want to offer you a platform to publish your expertises and opinions.

The editorial staff will rework your contribution - if necessary - editorially without changing, besides, the content default. By necessary extensive changes you receive naturally before pressure lapping a presentation of your contribution to the view and if necessary to the consultation.

You get back the picture überlassene to us as well as, perhaps, überlassene presentations and disks after end of all editorial and typographical works.

There are demanded here international (field) Journalist, experts of the fire brigades and the rescue services as well as in this subject oriented laymen who are able to write professional reports, technology contributions, application reports or general contributions interesting, clearly and vividly in text and picture.

Requirements for Text Contributions and Picture Contributions

To the text material presented to us and picture we put the basically following requirements:

  • The text material and picture must be widely unpublished as regards content and in the present form as well as remain up to publication of the respective book issue unpublished one. Exceptions to it must be arranged with the editorial staff and be approved.
  • All rights in the presented picture and text material must lie with the author. Other author's rights are to be given, the respective written consent of the author for the publication is to be presented.
  • The presented text material must correspond to the high technical claims of our book, besides, the presented picture must correspond to the high technical standards expected here - for example, concerning motive choice, picture sharpness, color cleanness and informative capability.
  • The text material and picture must be compiled concerning the technical default given by us and be presented (see segment ' technical default ').
  • Given and agreed editorial and typographical appointments are to be kept without exception.


Technical requirements for the text material

  • Typewriter: 1 ½-zeiliger assembly-line text (sales), not formatted (no block sentence!): Side edges on DIN-A4 sheet: on top 2 cms, on the left 10 cms, on the right 2 cms, below 2 cms.
  • Text capture by EDP: Pattern setting Microsoft Word (.doc file): Side edges: on top 3 cms, below 2 cms, on the left 7.5 cms, on the right 5.2 cms, line distance 1.5 cms, assembly-line text (no other formatting!).
  • Text circumference: approx. eight to 15 DIN-A4 pages. The circumference of text and picture in the pressure version is directed after the intended layout.
  • Text transmission to the editorial staff: Disk, CD or E-Mail-Attachment; only in special cases text presentation on DIN-A4 paper.


Technical requirements for the Pictures

  • Basically we prefer original-color slides (24x36 cms, freely of glass framed)
  • Paper picture deductions (brilliantly, mindestens 13x18 cms of dimension of picture area)
  • EDP images after previous arrangement! After previous address we accept high-resolution images (at least 300 dpi at 20-cm picture width, not interpolated, not projected, sent on CD)
  • Picture rights: The author must dispose of all rights (copyrights and/or rights of use) of the picture presented to us and text material. If the picture of foreign authors comes, must be their approval for the publication.

Time of going to Press

The time of going to press for the respective book projects is fixed individually. Then, nevertheless, this appointment is bindingly for the delivery of the text material and picture.
